Faced with a pending divorce and two teenagers to support, Angela Katsur was looking for some guidance regarding reentering the workforce. She learned of a new program at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Relaunch: Career Rentry for Professional Women.  “I was enrolled into a diverse class of talented women who had strong backgrounds, but we all needed our confidence back,” Angela explains.

Led by Chamber President and CEO Betsy Gardner Eckbert, Relaunch is an eight-month program designed to help women build their resume, network and confidence, and covers topics such as using Linkedin and identifying their personal brand. Betsy shares her own experiences, along with guest speakers, during eight monthly sessions.

“I knew what my talents were; I just needed help and confidence to get myself out there,” Angela says. “After completing the program, I am now the proud owner of Angela Katsur Events. I am an organized and detail-oriented event planner with more than 20 years of experience and I am now planning everything from corporate meetings to charity galas. I am so grateful to this program and intend to share my story in hopes to empower other women who just need a boost to get back out there! I am loving the outcome from my experience in Relaunch and excited to continue with my passion and enthusiasm for event planning.”

The fee to participate in the Relaunch program is $250 and the deadline to apply for the next class is August 17. Learn more at winterpark.org.
