April 16, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The City of Casselberry is hosting the ILLuminART – Spotlight on Sculpture walk, featuring artists that work with and create sculptures in a garden environment using sustainable LED lighting, digital projections, and other light installation and sculptures.  These striking works combine light and form and initiates an artistic dialogue that interacts with the public. The vision is to form creative lighting for sculptures in the Lake Concord Sculpture Garden, as well as to feature illuminated temporary installations, creating an exciting experience pleasing to the eye, heart, and soul! In the past, light was used to enhance traditional art forms like architecture or stained glass. More recently, light has been incorporated in more uniquely artistic expressions that include light sculptures, art- installations, multimedia projections as well as many other works. Come join us for ILLuminART – Spotlight on Sculpture event on April 16, 2016 from 6:30 until 9:30 when Lake Concord Park will be on full display with illuminated art! Spotlight on Sculpture will feature temporary installations by Macos Cruz, Marla E, Jeff Hoffman, Susand Menand, Amy Wieck and Bianca Braga, as well as permanent sculptures by Keith Carroll, Mindy Colton, Marcos Cruz, Johann Eyefells, Frank Grady, Noelio Gonzalez Jacob Harmeling, Steve Pi, Bill Platt, Aurora Rincon and Chris Scala. Casselberry City Hall’s 3rd Annual Experience Contemporary art exhibit, as well as the Seniors & Students Exhibit in the Casselberry Art House will also be open that evening for viewing, so come and see what is new in contemporary art in central Florida. Call 407-262-7700, ext.1122 or email jcosta@casselberry.org for more information.
