The Seminole State Speaker Series is an annual event that welcomes speakers representing diverse views and interests and we wanted to share our next speaker with you in hopes that you would help us with getting the word out. On Wednesday, March 27, 2019 we will be hosting Judy Shephard as our final speaker of the 2018-2019 school year. Judy Shephard is a human rights advocate, anti-hate crimes activist, author, and the mother of Matthew Shephard. She will be drawing from her personal tragedy of losing her son to promote a greater understanding of LGBTQ issues and to empower others to embrace human dignity and diversity.
