Jazz comes alive at Secret Lake Park with one of the fastest-emerging contemporary jazz recording artists in recent history, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Vincent Ingala. This free event, sponsored by 102.5 WLOQ Orlando’s Smooth Jazz and the City of Casselberry, will entice all jazz lovers to gather and enjoy a spectacular evening at the lakefront park. Ingala blasted into an exciting stratosphere of his own making since his 2010 critically acclaimed debut album, “North End Soul.” The charismatic saxophonist has been named Billboard Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year in 2012, Sirius XM Watercolors Artist of the Year in 2013, and his music is consistently found atop the most noteworthy music charts in the world, including three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Chart, five singles in the Billboard Smooth Jazz Top 10, as well as an unprecedented 25 weeks at #1 on SmoothJazz.com’s Top 50 Independent Chart. His recent album, 2015’s “Coast To Coast,” has placed Ingala back on top, with the project’s first and second singles hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart. The music ranges from romantic and elegant, to old school and soul, the star-studded, horn-drenched new album finds Vincent performing with British jazz trombonist Dennis Rollins and smooth jazz icon Peter White. Opening for the show is Andrea Miller, who recently opened for legendary Al Jarreau at the Newport Beach Jazz Festival. Not only is Miller a songwriter with six albums, her soulful, sensual, and hypnotic voice also can be heard on recordings by Disney/Pixar, Paramount Pictures, NBC, ABC, Samsung, Warner Brothers and others. Besides the music, there will be food and other specialty vendors. Bring your blankets, chairs and friends and enjoy this free concert.
