Makeover Madness!

A peek inside the winner’s closet during Lisa’s wardrobe consultation.

This past week we pampered our Back-to-Class Teacher Makeover winner with a wardrobe consultation with Lisa Maile, Lisa Maile Seminars, a $500 shopping spree at The Mall at Millenia, new hairstyle by Ana Yebba, Jim Boone & Co. Salon, makeup by Leslie Christin, Studio CARA, and a special photo shoot for the upcoming September/October issue of the magazine, shot by Sharon Lundberg. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look of the special week!

“We began when I visited the winner’s home for a Star in Your Own Closet day, bringing a rack of items and accessories to illustrate and experiment. We reviewed specific components of image for her desired objective, then examined items in her closet to create her most successful wardrobe plan for simple, fast, affordable and effortless dressing every morning. Sometimes that means defensive dressing: showcasing your strengths and playing down areas you’d prefer hidden – carefully selecting the shapes, colors and patterns most flattering for you,” explains Lisa Maile.

The next day, Lisa then took the winner to The Mall at Millenia, where Lisa helped her shop for appropriate items using her $500 gift card, courtesy of The Mall at Millenia. “She enjoyed an exciting day selecting new fall fashions, since the Mall offers the finest designers/brands for every budget,” Lisa adds.

On the final day, our teacher visited stylist Ana Yebba at Jim Boone & Co. Salon for hair color and cut; then went to Studio CARA/CARA Cosmetics where President Leslie Christin perfected our winner’s makeup using her line of professional cosmetics. And finally, award-wining photographer Sharon Lundberg captured it all on camera.

This year’s winner will be revealed in our Sept/Oct issue, along with her new wardrobe –  24 amazing pieces to coordinate (over 150 different looks), including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Watch for the Sept/Oct issue which will also feature a special fall fashion spread and important breast cancer awareness info. Happy Back-to-School everyone!
